Tetracycline Doseage?? Time of the essence

What I was trying to say was that if your bag as 800 milligrams, you need to also look at the net weight. As you will have more than 800 milligrams in the bag due to filler. If there are 1.5 ounces in the package, containing 1600milligrams of drug, you need to use half the package per gallon to get 800 milligrams per gallon. Too little drug increases rate of resistant bacteria, too much can be poisonous.

Lol, oops...I didn't see these last posts till now...after I had put a 1/4 tsp. in the gallon.
I'll do that for them this evening when they need the waterers re-filled. I usually make them a bread, egg, and yogurt mix. They love it

Ok, here yah go !!! Got a bottle here from my vets office... And it reads put 1 teaspoon per gallon. You can break it down if only treating 1 or a few bird as it needs to be made new daily, so for a half gallon use 1/2 teaspoon. Also dont forget to make a new batch daily after 24 hours the anti's in the water will stop working.

Did you try Tylan ??

My roo is doing better as well.
I have talked to the vet about having the birds medicated and he said for 7 chicks it would be 40 plus whatever the medications cost is...and I just said 7 for fun. I have lots of birds and if its CRD it won't leave so it's not worth the money.
