Why was I not told y'all was over here talking. Just leave me like that. Got to thinking I had not seen Lisa in a while. Made a comment about her yesterday and she did not say anything back. So I went looking for her today and find y'all all hiding from me. I feel so a lone !!

So that is why my ears were burning yesterday!!!

My 36 chicks that I originally ordered came in last wednesday. Had one die on me so that left 35. I now have 53 chickens and 2 turkeys. I had noticed that some of y'all was missing and thought y'all just stopes talking. Glad to see y'all all !!

I got 15 RIR hens , 15(now14) BR hens and 6 Dark Cornish Roosters. The turkeys are growing fast here are some pics of the turkeys and new birds. And the pen I am working on noes for the EE that are 11 weeks old.

Ooh, I need a new oven also. What kind would you get?

No idea I haven't even looked yet.
I LOVE gas but our house isn't outfitted for it
And we rent so it's not exactly up to me.
He would take it out of rent though. I'd much rather put money into a great oven lol
We have a "Tappan" right now..never even heard of it before. He apparently just it a few months before he rented to us too. We moved in September, it broke in December...so I think we just need a new oven. Obviously it'll just break again.
I'm a sucker for appliances...

I love gas ovens!!! The thing I have noticed about convection ovens is that they aren't very big. You can't get a large turkey in one. Maybe I haven't been in the right store, but they all look small. I can't even consider a ceramic cooktop because you aren't suppose to use your canner on that type stove top. I hate it when you have to try to think of everything you are going to be cooking when looking for a stove/oven. The ones that have caught my eye are the ones that have 5 sometimes 6 burners. I melt when I see those. Ken doesn't like for me to go to Lowe's with him because I always end up looking at the stoves and refrigerators. heheehee

I watched some Anthony Bourdain last night.
I REALLY want to go fishing now.
But I only enjoy saltwater fishing
I need a vacation...
Maybe in a few years lol

The black ones are barred rock. I am covering with chicken wire over all then putting welded wire 2"x4" openings 4ft high around the bottom.

Well I did not get my pen done today I just ran out of gas. Maybe tomorrow if it does not rain. Heading to bed take care all.

Guys you are killing me here!  Sigh..... At the beginning of the year my husband decided to remodel the kitchen cabinets.  He then surprised me by saying we were getting a dishwasher and new stove!  I was running around (excited) getting ideas of what I wanted when we found out we needed a new roof.  The kitchen remodeling has been put on the back burner for now.   We are trying to find a good quote for our roof.  We are getting prices for metal and shingles.

Lovingmyhens that is exactly the type burners I want.  I can put my large canning pan on that stove and it won't be sticking over the edge of the burners.

Okay you two, tell me about the convection side.  What do you think of it and do you use it a lot?

I've no clue! Never use it (I don't really cook much) it was not but a couple hundred extra and when I was already spending close to 2000$ I figured it would look good if I ever had to resell. Lol
