Thunder and downpour here all night, maybe 2 inches, flash flood warning. More rain to come all day Fri .... so.. happy Fri to all

We got 2.1" of rain here yesterday. It looks like rain now, but I don't think we are getting any. Supposed to see sun this afternoon.

My friend that lives in Weatherford told me people in the county north of her got 10 inches of rain. 10! It has been really dry over there so I know they need it. I hope it didn't flood too badly. I haven't had the news on....

I'm going to try and ride my bike later if it stays dry. It's too dark and wet out right now. Love these temps though! 64* right now.

Don't feel too bad Sis. Next time I visit Rosenberg, I will bring you a Coke 6 pack, maybe that will wet the ground.

I remember in my Spy Kids 2 movie (in 2002), they shot a scene of boat chasing on Lake Travis. Although I visited this lake from time to time .. and its famous nude beach Hippie Hollow), the scene still gave me a feel of boat chasing in an Ocean. Sadly to say that the lake is now 65% dry out after few years in drought. Many stores/restaurants with boat launching in the back are now closed or relocated. Now from the top of the hill, a view we normally seen from the famous Oasis restaurant is now a scattered water with patches of land showing up. These lands were called Sometimes Island... now a permanent landscape. Who knows ... I may start buy these lots to build my very first Waterfront condo.

There are no open boat ramps on Lake Buchanan in Central Texas. Many water front houses have not had water for year and the white bass have not been able to go up the Colorado River to spawn for several years. Every time it gets a little water coming in they open the gates and send it down river to Austin and below.

Wow, I wonder if these lakes will ever fill up again. How sad.

Went to the feed store today. It took every ounce of willpower I had not to walk out of there with chicks. Have you ever seen day old quail? A ping pong ball would dwarf them. Man are they tiny!!
