He looks like a frazzle. Poor thing.

These are too cute. Had to share them. :)

I'm leaning towards getting the puppy. I have a name picked out. I think I'm sunk.
Ah! So I've noticed since I got the chickens...I love all things chicken. Lol!

Yup! You're a gonner

The feed store is getting chicks in tomorrow.
I debated ordering from ideal and getting some EEs, the Faverolles, and Orloffs, but I don't want to wait until the end of August. That's a whole month they could have to feather out and I think that's pushing it. So I think I'm going tomorrow to get 2 EE babies :) then get my faverolles and Orloffs in the Spring.
I'm more confident about sexing the EEs anyway and I can actually pick which ones I want.

What else are they getting in? I still really, really, really want chicks. I do think spring is a better time though. Although it stays warm here until November and if the winter is really bad I do have Nathan's old room now. ;) Chicks are less expensive than a puppy too. AAUGH!!!!

I am so bad at making big decisions.

I cant remember much beside the RIRs, EEs and DOMINIQUES!

Although I can't promise if they have something interesting, I wont pick one up
OH! Buff Bramas

I want Delawares and Buckeyes. Can't find a local breeder for either. So....
Ah! That's right. I always get Delawares and Dominiques mixed up, as far as to which ones you were wanting.
You might have to find a breeder that ships chicks, in that case you'll probably have to wait til spring. I've found most breeders don't sip year round like hatcheries do...
UNLESS you find a way to hatch :)

You mean like under a broody silkie?

(This one reminds me of a pirate every time I see it. lol!)

Hatching would be so fun. I will try that some day.

Well like you said before...chicks will be here forever!! The puppy...that exact one you want...well this may be the only chance!
