Dang it! I had some nice multiquoting action going on but firefox updated last night so now my rich text editor is incompatable!!! GRRRR

My Chrome at home is showing incompatible, too. But, my Chrome here at work is just fine....not following that logic; but, hey, ok. I know html so I can weed my way through it at home; but, it's not fun

OK, I'm with showbarnmom. We are dying for eggs and have another three months to go until ours produce. Anyone got a rental bird? Of couse, I'm just joking. Mostly. I would totally take a couple of rental hens, though... sigh...

I know the feeling, I bought 5 pullets that were suppose to start laying a month ago and still no eggs from them!! Egg orders are piling up from the guys at work but I'm only getting 2 or 3 eggs a day from my 5 older hens! And the chicks are still 4 months away from laying!

Just got the official rain total from my neighbor 1.3" of rain!! Sure am glad to get it!!

*sighs* I have one chick who is squee squeee squeee ing. Very loudly. Until I walk into the room to see what is wrong with it. Then it goes quiet and I can't find out who is doing it. The turkeys are being quiet for a change, other than their usual noises. But that one chick. I wish I could figure out who it was. Driving me nuts. Sounds like it is stuck (you know, the ones who get behind something and think they are lost forever) but when I go in there, everyone is just fine.

Good Morning!!!

I am able to get online--computer has been down since early morning. Thank you RachaelS for fanning the wind/rain toward Houston!!! Next time, don't fan the winds so hard. It uprooted one of our newly planted trees from last year (8 ft. tall) and brought a big tree down by the chicken coop. The girls are fine but it took one side of the fence down.

I had to cancel my hand therapy to clean the mess up. I have our tractor holding the tree up till my DH comes home from work. I was able to clean up around the coop but with only one hand in commission, I can't start up the chainsaw. Trust me, I was trying to figure out how to do it one-handed.

And that is why Texans are known for hardwork! Good job! I'm glad that you couldn't get the chainsaw going though. Using it one handed wouldn't be safe.

Thank you for the compliment. My son is at work rolling on the floor with laughter. I seem to bring him much joy when he hears what I am attempting to do. I did think about using the hatchet..... I know, I know I have to wait and I don't LIKE to wait.

I found out who was squee squeeing. Sort of. I checked my little chickies and they were fine. So, I moved my teenage chicks outside. They are supposed to be out anyways and that stopped it. I think they were complaining about being in the brooder again but I bring them in when it is chilly or wet and last night was both. So out they went and they are already running around gathering up bits and pieces of tasty stuff.

BTW, Kili... the ducks are still laughing at us.. now the geese have joined in (got the first goose egg of the season yesterday)
I know where three duck nests are.. all have at least 4 or 5 eggs in them.. and I have tossed a few duck eggs to the dogs over the past few days
