Oh, and my eggs today were indeed my Nankins and SGDs arriving early. At least there's room in the incubator right now; and, the new one should arrive tomorrow or Friday so I'll have plenty of room. I need to spend this weekend tearing that hatchrite apart and scrubbing it clean. Then I can use it, too.

Moments later once big-mike, my yokie roo, saw what was going on and soundedthe alert! Had all 8 and the 3 keets out! Sooo it turned into out first free range evening! Ive decided this weekend i am gonna use my left over netting from their canopy and close in an area for them when im home in the evenings.

My keets, i swear, are idiots! When i was ushering everyone back in, all 3 keets wedged themselves between the chainlink and edge of the coup...maybe a gap 3" wide. I had to retract them by hand one by one (carefully so nothing was sticking through the fence) which was an ordeal because they are not tame whatsoever...got them at 6+ weeks old sooo....but yeah those 3 are constantly getting themselves in binds!

well I got two rattlers yesterday cleaning out the cattle pens! Sure am glad I saw them first! Hope everybody has a great day and stays warm!
Bet you can skin it and feed to the chickens if you dont like it. I came upon a copperhead cleaning leaves out of the flowerbeds and could have won a long jump at the Olympics...

Sounds like the keets are going for the Darwin awards...or they are training you to get them out of the situations they've gotten into...

I got them for coup security for varmits...mice and snakes, since im out in the country! They are living up to it, they hang out in the coup alot picking off flies, kinda fun to watch! But they are all brawn and no brain...works for me

Speaking of flies...greater conroe area is super indulated with flies as is...and im already seeing an abundance around the coup. Is there anything yall do about flies? I cant get rid of them but can perhaps maybe reduce....
