Fowl pox sucks! The ones with sores on the outside are usually ok. It is the ones who get mouth sores that die. You should get the vaccine for any birds you bring in in the future. In my area, as I found out this year, we get it EVERY summer. Put probiotics or apple cider vinegar in the water and give them extra protein in the feed. Not sure if it helps, but most of mine seemed less affected this year and that is the only thing different. Still lost several to mouth sores. I am going to be a compulsive vaccinator now...

On a lighter note... anyone keep bees? My neighbors have a bee problem and I can get them out but I would like them to go someplace they would be put to use....

My sister keeps bees and chickens in Oregon, she loves her bees! She has one big bee box and they just come and go as they please, and she has the most beautiful garden. I think that will be my next adventure, and it counts for keeping Ag taxes up here!
