Like a hole in my head!! Cause you really shouldn't introduce just one hen to a flock, then I'd have to get 2 and then I'd be two over my four limit...chicken math. Lol

So far I have only introduced chicks via a broody hen. Momma takes care of them.Like a hole in my head!! Cause you really shouldn't introduce just one hen to a flock, then I'd have to get 2 and then I'd be two over my four limit...chicken math. Lol
But remember my earlier statement...no chicks no chicks no chicks lol
Thanks for all the info on dogs. It's the land owner and he prefers a certain breed and I just try to locate some. BTW look like he will get a Pyrene puppy soon.
I went to work on the ranch two days in a row. dead tired by the end of the day. Then I went out for dinner, went home and showered... and fell into sleep ....
I guess the weekend is pretty much over now.. time to bed and be ready for Monday.
I will be getting chicks as soon as one of my girls goes broody. Availability at that time will determine what I get. I am hoping that keeps me in hens and eggs in the future. I love the chicks, but I am too afraid of brooding them artificially.
Chicks and fertilized eggs scare me!
I have 2 RES, one musk and an eastern painted. They are fun to watch. The best is when they get on top of each other to bask.
