if she has red ear lobes she should lay a brown egg. either white Plymouth rock or rhode lsland white. an exception here if she has any ameracauana in her she could lay a green egg?  :)

She has white ear lobes. I don't really care. It's just after finding out that the other chicks I got at the same store were not what I had been told they were, I figured I would investigate what she was. And I was curious about the egg color.

Thanks for all the info on dogs. It's the land owner and he prefers a certain breed and I just try to locate some. BTW look like he will get a Pyrene puppy soon.

I went to work on the ranch two days in a row. dead tired by the end of the day. Then I went out for dinner, went home and showered... and fell into sleep ....

I guess the weekend is pretty much over now.. time to bed and be ready for Monday.

I have 2 RES, one musk and an eastern painted. They are fun to watch. The best is when they get on top of each other to bask.

As a kid we used to catch red ears and the epoxy bottle caps or pennies on their shells and let them go. You could identify them for years! Had one in a pond behind the house that was "tagged" when I was about 8 or 9 years old...I caught him again while I was on college! He was at least 10 years old.
