My naked neck rooster. I love his bowtie. Bowties are cool!
O my goodness. Isn't he gorgeous!! As usual, you take beautiful pictures!

Dear enablers,

My mother in law saw this thread open and noticed I wanted some GLW.... She just brought me seven GLW chicks, and seven assorted pullets. Looks like two leghorns, some more Aussies, and Lyle has some new ladies. There's barred rock pullets in there!

Enablers. All of you...

But, I like my early easter presents.

How sneaky (but clever) of you....to leave BYC open

I have good news! Well sort of good news. My friend came over and looked at my dishwasher. It isn't leaking from where the screws were, it's the seal. I can still use the dishwasher! He recommended that I get a regular front instead of the cabinet front. The cabinet front is keeping the door from closing tightly, allowing it to leak. It still leaks, just not as bad.

I may need to get a new seal, or even a new door though - previous owners put a dent in it. Neither of those are a priority fix since I can still use the dishwasher. :) I'll deal with this next month.
Good deal!!!

Lisa :)

Glad to hear it! That will save you some time and money, putting you one step closer to your chickees!

Since I put the fishing line up, I have not lost any more birds to hawks or owls. I read not too long ago somebody had used fishing line and a hawk figured out how to get inbetween the lines. I have mine crisscrossing in so many places, they would have trouble getting in.

Oooo! Lucky you!

That was my thought too!

I didn't know if anyone would get the reference. Most people never get any of my Doctor Who references! Every time I see my Naked Necks all I can think of is 11. Ha!
I love Doctor Who. I've been watching it since the late `70's. Not sure what to think of the new Doctor. I was enjoying the young good looking ones!

How do you go about doing this? I've been trying to figure out a way to crisscross my yard. Maybe I need more trees or tall things to attach it to. I'm kind of lacking in both. lol!

I went out to water the garden and forgot I had set some milk on the stove to boil for my steel cut oats. Oooops!!! Thankfully I remembered before too much had boiled over.

I will miss the good looking younger ones. I loved 9, and I love 4 as well. 10 and 11 were good. The only thing I think will be nice with Peter Capaldi is that being older, it will get rid of some of the angst with the companions falling in love. My favorite companion is Donna, and I think it was because there was no romantic interest between them at all.
They may bring in an older companion....

I liked the 4th doctor and the 10th. David Tennant was great. The last season with him got a bit weird though. I missed some of them towards the end of the old doctors and the new doctors so I am not sure what they were like. #9 was good to.

I tried watching Tourchwood. Didn't care for it.

Here is Cogburn, Lisa. He is huge. That is him next to a 5 gallon bucket.
Wow! What kind is he?

Since the pen is between two buildings, Ken loosened the screws on the rooftop a bit so I could tie the fishing line up there. He then ran some kind of a wire on the opposite side of the fence and I tied the fishing line on there. There are different gauges of fishing line. Get the heaviest one you can find. I had a huge branch break and it landed on the line. The branch brought the line down to the ground but it didn't break. I was able to work the branch off the line by breaking the smaller branches and cutting the trunk up.
