Texas

In the state of Texas, If a predatory animal is attacking your livestock it is legal to remove the threat by any means possible.

I believe federal law applies in this case. So like smoking weed in Colorado or Washington state is legal (with age, etc. limits), the feds can still arrest and prosecute you.

Put up a hot wire fence on ur fence and they wont get so close to ur fence. That is how hubby and I trained our pit to stop jumping on fence when people walked by.

We are looking into that option. But the neighbors fence ties to ours at the corner post, and then his neighbor. We can't electrify the whole streets fence. Plus we have an automatic gate in the center of our front fence line. Which means we need a power source for each side, and then figure out how to electrify the gate itself. The gate is the biggest issue. It is maybe 8 feet wide and opens sideways on rollers. That is difficult to figure out.

One of my Roos. I maybe keeping him.

Hi everyone! I'm in Crosby, Tx which is just Northeast of Houston by about 45 minutes.

I have ten chicks in a brooder right now, but I'd really like to add a couple of silkies to the bunch. Is there anyone here locally that might be able to help me find some?

Tomorrow I will be calling a feed store that does special orders. They are where I got my sexed African geese at. I am going to see if I can special order some sexed Cayuga ducklings for Ebony! It will be much better than having to order 10 ducklings from a hatchery or paying for 10 ducklings and getting 2/3. I just hope that the feed stores supplier does Cayugas.
