If anyone wants to swing by north Texas, I've got a bunch of 8 week old pullets and a few cockerels that need homes. We've ended up with too many and had two no shows from people who supposedly wanted to buy them from us.

I can't and don't wish to keep them all!

Where in North Texas? That covers a lot of territory. Sort of like I am in West Central Texas which covers about a third of the state.

We are in East Texas in Livingston. Hatching eggs and chicks are not a problem. We have plenty of both. I understand about large segments of Texas. We're second only to Alaska only we have ore useable space and were larger than most European Countries.

Well I figured I'd expand on that if anyone actually had any interest to begin with...

Young County - specifically Newcastle/Graham area.

Any chicken retirement homes? Does anyone in the NE Dallas area want one lonely old production red. She's lonely. To be honest she doesn't lay and I want to make room for the "class of 2016"? I'd keep her but can only have four where I live.

I can mail out chicks within 72 hours of hatch for the purpose of USPS. Beyond that I would need them picked up. Hatching eggs I can ship out at any time though the preferred ship on those is between Monday and Wednesday so they don't sit in the post office over the weekend.

Central Texas had quite the storm last night. We had hail, heavy rain, winds up to 75 mph and an impressive light show. My property went mostly unscathed except for a few downed branches. The same can't be said for many in my area though. Lots of property damage and many are still without power 12-16 hrs later, including my elderly father. Hope all my fellow peeper keepers fared well though it.
