Ultimate bad end to the day. My horse killed my favorite hen Salt. Stomped on her when I was going out to feed. I had to take her out of her suffering and then pluck her in the pouring rain so that she would have a purpose to her one bad day. Just crushed me.

Oh no! Why did your horse do that?! (I know my pony has been tempted to stomp on the dogs a few times, but so far, he hasn't actually harmed anyone.) He's indifferent to the chickens though!

Got another one, I quit! Off the TS to get the trap. Down to the two adults that I started with, which won't come near their coop, the cat grabbed the other one right outside of their coop! Sigh!!!

I think I would bring those two in the HOUSE

O no, so sorry to hear this. I've got a horse and a min donkey that will do that to dogs but not ducks or chickens

O no, so sorry to hear this. I've got a horse and a min donkey that will do that to dogs but not ducks or chickens

We are getting our next batch this week, and hopefully, some of our eggs will hatch

Here's a link to Parks and wildlife. http://tpwd.texas.gov/ Click "game warden" at the top you can find your local warden and explain to him and they will take care of your pest. If you trap it what the heck are you going to do with it. You're gonna have a chainsaw in a cage.

I understand about the food chain. I hate to kill the cat, but it is getting way to close! The game camera shows that it is coming by 2-4 times a day to check things out. Hopefully it never goes after anything other than ducks! So far, it has gotten 5 of my ducks, I have a trap set now trying to protect the last remaining 2 ducks. They will remain penned until the cat is caught or disposed of.
