Texas

Hey, you seem to be in communication with a lot of chicken ppl. So I thought maybe you could help. There's a lost chicken in my yard. I tried calling the aspca and animal control but no one wants to help it. I live in spring Texas just north of Houston. If you've got any idea what to do (I can't keep it or let it in the backyard my pets would probably eat it) please let me know. It looks cold but I have no idea.
Hey, I realize this may be too late, however I know of someone who could use a extra chicken! I live near Sugarland. Are you able to catch it?

Hello everyone! My name is Jenny and I live in north Texas! I have been raising chickens for about 2 years now and I have 18 chickens - 14 hens and 4 roosters! I just joined BYC and I'm looking forward to sharing stories with fellow chicken parents and learning all that I can!!

I have a mixture of silkie bantums, Rhode island red's, Plymouth rocks, and Orpingtons! I started with 10 chicks a few years ago, 3 of which were silkie bantums and 2 of those ended up being roosters! Then I incubated 9 eggs last year and successfully hatched 8 of them and 2 of those chicks ended up being roosters! So my hands are full, but luckily when my husband and I decided to get chickens, we built a giant coop with a run so I have plenty of room to grow! It's known around here as the 'chicken mansion'!! Lol

Yea, 4 roosters!! I am actually looking to re-home at least one of them! This is Juice, a Plymouth rock/silkie bantum and he is very nice to people and the hens, but not so nice to my silkie roosters and he is much larger. I am sad to get rid of any of them, but 4 is just too many.
