I’m not in Dallas, but I have some 7 week old pullets and I need to get rid of a few. 2 BSL and 1 RIR.

I was just wondering if you were closer to me - I want to do the NPIP on my flock. I guess I need to wait thought all of them are 18 weeks? Is that correct?
And do you have to have them all tested even if they are only for eggs to eat? If I have them in a separate pen can I just. I test the ones I want to sell hatching eggs or mail chicks?

I would wait until they are all of age. And any bird on the property needs to be tested.
It's kinda an all of nothing thing as far as I understand it.
Have you contacted Mr Essler yet?
He is the one that schedules NPIP certifications.

Yes I sent him a email and he sent me a link with all the information.

So now you are looking for a tester to come out and PT test your flock right?
It's touch because so many of us took the class to be a tester but very few have actually bought the antigen that is needed to do the testing because it is very expensive.
