One totally awesome thing about living down here is Mexicoke in glass bottles. When was the last time you drank a cocacola out of a glass bottle"? Probably 1970?
The Mexican likes for me to buy him these every now and then.
I can get them at HEB over here.

Hello,

A couple months ago, my domestic partner and I were awakened in the wee hours before 5:00 am by a strange new noise outside that we initially could not identify.

After the noise repeated a few times, I realized with amazement that it was a rooster!

We shook our heads and went back to sleep, certain that this situation would not stand for long.

Suburban Houston HOA’s don’t allow you to collect rainwater; they most certainly are not likely to allow farm animals!

We figured, whoever was trying to get away with having chickens in their yard was about to lose a battle with the HOA any day now, and that would be that.

Well.

Imagine our surprise, and my stupefication, to realize that this poor animal has no home. He simply wanders the neighborhood, singing the song of his people, doing the only thing he knows how to do.

I have grown quite fond of him, as he has earned my deepest respect.

However, I have a conundrum on my hands: If I were to adopt the noisy bugger, then I would automatically be in violation of the HOA rules and probably the anger of the nearest neighbors, not to mention my partner.

What do?
