@KikisGirls I signed up for the Alice class as soon as I got the email. I wish it was sooner. I was thinking of entering a bird in a show that is the week prior.

So me shows have PT testers at the door.

It is a class to become a certified tester so you can test your and other people's birds for the PT and NPIP programs, which are required to legally sell and show birds and for shipping birds and eggs, respectively.

No this isn't correct.
I hate to be nit picky but it is just not fact that you have to be a member of NPIP in the state of Texas to sell or show birds here.
You ONLY have to be tested PT clean in order to sell and or show.

I'll reread the info. I was pretty sure it said it was required to sell birds or hatching eggs but the info is kind of scattered here tbh

If you're going to go through the trouble of testing why not do NPIP, anyway?

In Texas in order to legally sell chicks or hatching eggs or to show birds you have to be PT tested only.
You can pay the extra yearly fee to be NPIP but it's not necessary.
