Texas

Good idea. I have sheets and brooder lights for my lemon and satsuma but I have a number of other citrus and the avacado. Will drape them in Christmas lights. Will post you on how that works.
Completed my plant drag for the most part it is the pineapple I have to protect. The citrus are mature enough to deal with this. Also we aren't growing winter tomatoes this year.

Did you plant your pineapple from a top? I want one.
Yes we start them from the tops. I tear off the lower leaves one by one to expose a few roots then plant them. They take around 18 months to fully fruit. They just can not take temps under 45.

One other detail is to make sure the center leaves have not been cored out.

I had one years ago I started from a top. It made a tiny pineapple after about 18 months. Then I moved to ATL. Thank God I am back in TX

Results of my planter dragging. Once you get them started there are faster planting/propogation methods to get a fruit.
