I do like my weatherman's statement. "If it's cold in the Valley".....basically imagine how pooched everyone north of us is.https://www.krgv.com/videos/tuesday-s-weather-6-a-m--67257

Bringing the pineapples in seems to have had a calming effect on the cat. I guess he is a farmer too. The little guy was wanting in and out every 5 minutes prior to this.

At least our daughter is enjoying warmer temps than we have and she is in Germany IKR crazy:

Herd to believe 45 degrees north wold ever be warmer than 26N.

So DW insists the silkies needed out. At least she geared up for outside. I just went out to feed those poor chicken and they are completely soaked, stupid and standing in the rain. Still wearing my shorts as I refuse to let this cold win. It should be over in a few days, but my plans to finish mowing the lawn are on hold until it dries out.

Fortunate for us the cat has finally decided a warm bed with a human is the best place to be and DW has agreed to take him on. His ability to make the box springs ring with his purr is amazing.

CNN was reporting you guys in Houston might see 28's, such an eww. So many plants will need replaced at those temperatures. @Texas Kiki @RUNuts I can't even imagine how hard it would be to replace our cycads were it to get that cold. Please put those christmas lights on them. I am only mentioning the cycads due to their slow growing nature and their high value. Sell one to an Austinite/Dallasite and you will know how valueable they are. I once saw a 100 year old one on offer in the Dallas Galleria Mall for 10K, but that was in the 1990's.

Mission accomplished! I made it out to buy a taco in shorts and a t-shirt. While my neighbor was dressed in full hunting gear! quien es mas macho? Poor gal at the tacoria was cold and wearing a full winter coat indoors, but I have empathy for her as people do open that door a lot.

I did put the monster truck into 4wd though as there was so much rain on the road. so there is my concession to my wimpiness.
My monster truck is only a small Jeep Wrangler but the gas mileage on it is so bad it makes you think it must be a monster truck. Don't get me wrong this thing is a beast eating normal pickups should they ever meet unexpectedly, just I hate the fuel economy of it. Please everyone never get into an accident involving a Wrangler. DW crumpled in the sides of a Dodge 1500 crew cab making their passenger doors unusable and we have barely perceptable scratches on our wrangler.

It cracks me up to this day as she thought she wrecked our new car. Looking at the other car you knew it would be bad getting out to assess the damage. Moral of my long arsed story: Don't hit Jeeps.
