So we have had fog and a slight drizzle since about noon today. Here's a slight delayed snap showing what looks to be snowy-sleet-like mess starting to fall around Amarillo and definitely north of that too!

We got lucky I saw 87 on the car readout, and local weather stations. Better than the 90's we were told to expect.

The colors are truly amazing dude.
Apparently back in the 1850's red was a very common color to find in Black Sumatra his parents didn't display any of those colors just the iridescent green. My suspected sire for him is a silkie mix who has white streaked black feathers(hackles) and am thinking that the red got repainted there from old genetic code on the sumatra side of things.

Well the fronts moving through here now. Winds blowing 20mph and gusty. Light sprinkle here and there...my weather station says it's 79°F but you can definitely feel the cold in the air, suppose to be in the upper 40's tonight :( gonna miss the 79 - 80's temps!

Today, I'm wearing pants, socks, & a jacket. The cold wind, high humidity and drizzling rain all day and night made today not fun when outside. Low 40's before wind-chill. I saw wind-chill earlier "lunchtime" of 34°F......

5pm and 45 degrees with wind chill of 37, running around in Jean's, long sleeve tshirt, hoodie and muck boots! One of my pullets quite literally laid down in a mud puddle, wallowed in it, stood up & shook herself off all over me! Then she looked up at me and I swear she smiled!! That Siren, is always a little shit - up to no good. Roflmao lucky for her shes also one of my favorites. Oh and now I'm sporting dried mud upon my jeans! 🤣🙄
