Texas

Takes one to know one? Were you ever a sailor? I was a soldier so have no experience there but have left a pub before down on my knees in the 1990's. I probably do not have a functional liver anymore. It was mean the gate guards added 20-30 shots of Cuervo to my beer, yes I was manly and ordered a litre. Still this storm looks like it is alright.
Me + Navy = yes (ASW Aircrew, Search & Rescue Swimmer in SH-3 & SH-60's)
Did I "drink" extremely rarely.

Conspiracy theorist here....what are the odds that this storm would do a 180° and go back to the Caribbean, head for Florida, then do a 90° again and go into the Gulf?...all on it's own? "can you say, weather control"!!!:idunno
That's the craziest model I've ever seen!
Dude, this isn't the first storm this season for a significant number of models show the crazy projected paths. BTW, wasn't it you who used that "drunken sailer" reference first?

Local WX folks are forecasting the jet stream shifting dramatically late Monday/early Tuesday for a 90° north bound shift from the panhandles up through the "mitten" of Michigan into Canada before continuing straight east into atlantic....

So this should pull the upper level sheer line back towards coastline or quite possibly inland of H-town even.....

*IF* that shift is that far then the "Drunken ETA dance" will likely cross over western Cuba and then surprise everyone with a piroette(sp) before wandering into gulf like you suggest.

@AllenK RGV , made reference to the "drunken sailor" comment.

Addendum to "jet stream" WX forecasting.

The graphic they showed really looked like a very strong flow pattern. The wind flow arrows resemble the comical inbound to the mouth of a industrial vacuum. Imagine if the "Low" sat on top of the Texas panhandle then from El Paso all the way out into the gulf were lines growing straight towards DFW then heading almost straight up i-35 to Kansas City before shifting toward Chi-town and then into Toronto..... It was what made me think why I agreed with @AllenK RGV 's post.

This is so wierd and yet, neat. They are forecasting (as of Monday) that next week's Tuesday rain was only a 30% chance of real rain......

First off, my condolences to anyone who recently lost or is mourning the loss of any loved one(s). I can relate, as I lost my dear Mom the week before Thanksgiving many years ago, and I still have a hard time dealing with the upcoming holiday myself. *insert group hug here*

The weather is crazy, I have no idea from day to day here what to expect. Sprinkles, fog, wind, sun vs. no sun, nice night vs. cold night. Help!! LoL My entire wardrobe is on daily rotation. Hahahaa

Last but not least, I need to start rehoming some cockerels. Pics to follow.... hubby refusing to eat them, and I don't have the stomach for culling a healthy bird. *sigh* No problem with deformities or illness, but I just couldn't do it with these guys. *hits head on wall*

REHOMING COCKEREL, I live in Alvarado, will travel to the right person for delivery.

BIG RED, Blue Production/mix?, purchased as a mixed straight run chick the first week of March. Approximately 7ish pounds? We have tried working with him, he likes to flog the first few minutes he is let out to free range, then gets bored and goes away. He used to be relentless, but is getting better by the day. We really feel like he just needs his own flock and to be allowed to free range. He is really pissed off after time in his cage, and very happy after being allowed to be out. He alerts the pullets to food and shares. He loves to dance for them, and sounds the alarm even at airplanes overhead. LoL

His comb is healing from dragging it across the chicken wire in a fit of fear during the recent storms we had (gray area on comb). Its much better now, than a week ago and almost gone.

REHOMING COCKEREL, we live in Alvarado and will travel to the right person.

ROO ROO THE CLOWN / Pure 100% Welsummer, 7.5 months old.

He is my pride and joy, but we just have too many boys! I have to love him enough to let him go to a good loving home. I have hand raised him since he was 2 days old. He doesn't like to be picked up, but loves to be held once you get him. He prefers me over the hubby, so I would say he would make an excellent candidate for a woman, in need of a tame Male. He loves to run and chase bugs! He will forget he has a flock when let out for free range time. But when confined in the run, he is on high alert. He is good with the ladies, and I've never seen him pull any feathers or bite combs. He does get protective of them though after a few days, so if you want to pet your girls when he is around keep an eye on him. Otherwise he is just awesome. Perhaps a good candidate for a 4H pet?

REHOMING 5 COCKERELS, we live in Alvarado and can travel to the right people.

5 EASTER EGGER MIX/Crossbreeds, hatched via incubator from eggs given to me by 2 different ladies. They all hatched Aug 11th thru the 14th, so they are almost 2.5 months old. Both bunches of eggs, had roosters that were an Easter Egger. ALL 5 boys have muffs, and some appear to be also growing a beard.

HAPPY FEET: black with a few tiny red markings around the neck, LARGE comb! He is the alpha in the bunch and maintains order of the boys. Already crowing.

TINKERTOY: mostly (85%) a reddish brown color, with a few other markings. He crowed for the first time today.

DALE and SHASTA: brownish red with other colors thrown in the mix. Dale has gray/green legs and Shasta's are yellow.

COCOA: same colors as Dale & Shasta, smallest comb, very very docile, lowest on the pecking order. He does have a couple toes that are curled. I tried to fix them after he was hatched immediately. One foot is perfect, the other the couple toes refused to straighten. It does not hinder him though in any way. He walks and perches just fine.

I can get individual pics for anyone interested.
