The end is nigh!

Seriously folks, the power is about to be restored. No sense in stocking up this late in the game. How was the produce section? Are the delivery trucks running?
Produce was gone too.
They had plenty of non refrigerated hemp milk stuff and vegan Mac n cheese. Lots of canned goods too.

My Kroger isn't expecting cold and frozen trucks until Sunday. Although I got a text last night that a dairy truck made it in.

My HEB is getting trucks in regularly but it's flying off the shelf as quick as it's put on.
The lines are unreal at HEB for milk and eggs. I think some were waiting in the line for an hour.

Our brookshire brothers said yesterday, they would have a delivery today....
I'm not stressed, we usually buy bulk when on sale. We're good. Haven't bought toilet paper or paper towels since November 2019. Gave some to daughter when covid hit. Same with Lipton tea (3 100 ct boxes) and dawn soap (6 bottles @ 1.58 each), sugar (20 4lb bags)also. We don't wait til out to drive 20+ miles to get teabags or anything else. We catch it on sale, and buy 10 or so. Dr Pepper? Got it-20 12pks (always catch on sale 4/$12 thats $3 a 13pk vs $5 98 each reg price). Sorry for the rant.
Better to have and not need, than need and not have.

I got eggs. About 6 dozen eggs. Let the bidding begin!

or you can have them free to a good home.

People are, well, people.

Back to no water at my house. We had water around midnight and at about 5 am but now we don't. It can't possibly be an issue with my pipes.

After yesterday's easy repair & test of the other houses water lines....I *just now* had a Homer Simpson "DOH!" Moment..... Several days ago, when it "started to freeze up" - Why didn't I just disassemble it and bring it all inside to thaw in the shower? Gawd what a dork I can be sometimes..... Okay. Gonna go do that shortly and then get through the rest of today.....

/End of line.

Hindsight = 20/20
That's what I did with my waterers, until the well froze.

Hindsight = 20/20
Back in the mid 90's after I was out.... I annotated that twice for various situations.
Hindsight = 20/15 or 20/10

Which depending on ones skills of perception and logic as to how much one can or does learn from this or that event. The detailed the deconstruction, the more bountiful the lesson learned.

We are still without water. Used the last of the drinkable stuff this morning. At least it's warm enough that the roads are safe - just hope I can find SOMETHING at the stores.
Didn't lose a single bird and I've got 30 dozen eggs on the counter!! They don't seem like they were overly bothered. They just stayed in the barn/coop and out of the wind. Everyone is starting to range out today.
