Poured buckets here too. Chickens run is 98% total saturation. I found 3 spots to stand on that were still actually dry surface dirt.

we got at least 2” for the day (Monday)......

not to discount the previous days of rain.

(X) wild sunflowers are now at or above 5’ tall
(X) grass in fallow garden in excess of 2’ tall
(X) yard lakes and yard creeks slowly draining to lower levels on the hill
(X) dusted off the oxy/acetylene kit and used it over the last week. Got the oxy tank swapped out for a grand total of just over $22(w/Mil discount) .... now I have to find a replacement O2 gauge kit... this one just died.

(DD)15y/o has orthodontist appt noon Tuesday (today)

(?) found several folks selling Oxy/Acetylene gauge sets nearby for reasonable
Prices
(?) found a plasma torch setup for sale, they’re asking $350 for it; a Firepower FP-25 model......

Have you tried harbor freight?
Pressurize gases is one area I WILL NOT compromise on safety. The old gauges that my Grampa had stopped working when I replaced the oxygen tank. Turns out they were a step up from HF.

I’m likely going to get some used Victor brand gauges.

Got the winch almost finished mounted on the gooseneck flatbed for transporting the shed home soon. Tractor is all set.

today (in about an hour around 6PM) I finally fixed the broken gate Hinge. It’s been broken over a year.
Torched the old one off.
Ground the slag off.
Welded the replacement.

Fascinating to note. Gorilla glue that “foams up” and expands over 4X the volume. When I had to repair the filter/spout for the koi pond. Used blue painters tape the create a form the glue to fill into....
Poured the last of it into the form, then grabbed a handful of the filter tiny rocks. The glue foamed up and around the pebbles.
Let it cure for 2 days. Then used the pure silicon goop for “gluing/sealing” the filter/ spout. Waited almost 48 more hours before turning in the water pump and then added more water.

So far it’s been about 4 days and all is finally sealed.

Silkie mommas and babies are all doing great.

punctfure wounded hen is ready to return to the coop as she is easily 90% healed and a massive feather recovery is well on its way to filled in.

had more rain this morning. It dried up most of the driveway today but, the ponds and lakes in the yard are absolutely beyond saturated.

i. Want. A. Timeout. Puh-leeeezeeee.
