Been repairing the rat chewed holes in the avian netting with HC.

Still like the netting. Will just have to recommend the use of it for more strategic sections of a coop/run.

Loving the cool snap. Wish I could enjoy more of it outside.

'Cool snap'? What cool snap???!!!, it's still 96 to 97°F here....that's a little down from 106 to 110°F but a cool snap?

69 morning temp with a high 95 is 100 times cooler than a 80 morning temp with a 105/10 high.
That morning cool is awesome, needed and males my whole day cooler.

Yeah, your a little further north....it's still mid 70's here at night.

I've been turning a/c off at night. It doesn't get turned back on until noonish. I got cold a couple nights

This design has been my tool of choice for the last3-4 years…. But, mind you not this exact model…



Until the puppies destroyed the first 2 traps… now I have a 4 pack I just started to return to using along with the Ratinator…


Then I use the simple task of dropping them into the big metal trash can & dispatching them with an instantaneous “game over” conclusion. Usually it’s very little blood too so less mess for me to deal with in the trash can.

I can not even think about the green block of poison… our two little fur kids get into Everything!!!!!! They have caught at least 2 rats(and eaten most of one of them when I found them with it) & at least 1 bunny (not my Prefered choice)…..

Sher-bear when she has caught a rat before… she showed me and then in one spectacular gulp. Down the hatch it went and a smile on her face was very obvious!

Ready to scatter the mess from run. Sitting here, watching the birds. My 3 feral are laying, white eggs, however they're small, quick birds. That's probably how they survived roaming free for years. They are about the size of my 9 week old pullets

I think I may have lucked out. Got 12 day olds July 15th. Supposedly seed pullets. NONE are looking/acting rooish-yet. How old til they crow? Mine are now 9 weeks and still chirping.
