Continuing to build my garden soil. I have 100% sand, nothing else, so everything has to be added. Just brought home 6 bags of organic compost. Brought home some strawberry plants too . Last year's garden was experimental but needs more to build it higher.

The day is gorgeous.

If you're wanting to rehome your mix chicks let me know my friend and I will take them. We have a few pre breeds for or own sake but we mainly have mixes for egg laying and some for eating

They will be beautiful no matter what. That's the odd thing about mixes. They are almost always beautiful. Unless you have a naked neck in there. YUK. by the way I just HAD to go look at a full sized picture of that boy in your avatar. He's lovely!

yea we have a NN in the mix!!! lol shes our best layer! i hated them when we got them! DW thought they were the cutest things!!!
as for my avi... he was taken protecting his flock! a game sumatra that i want to reproduce, he had asil shamo and sumatra in his blood! a good protector! he was Fiff and his girl is Flo. she is a sumatra and a good layer as well! hoping to breed her with my yokohama this year. wish me luck wit that! shes queen B in that pen!
