keep me posted on the RIRs disposition... i had one and it had to go!!! kept peckin at us and we couldnt let her alone with the other pullets cuz she was so mean!!!

So far (mind you it's been 4 hours) she is super shy. The other two jumped right into flock. She's really been hiding/hanging back. She let's me approach and pick her up easily, but the other two walk up to me first. I will keep an eye and make sure I update.

thanks! i have been wanting to get some good ones but because they are mostly production lines their temperment has all been the same...mean.... maybe the feed store needs to get a good breeder of heritage line RIRs so we all can have some!!!

The RIRs I've had were nice. Today one of my the new BCM pullets I just got was pecking at the butt of one of the cockerels. I checked it out and his butt had been pecked to raw meat. It was like she was eating him. I separated him and watched the pullet and she didn't do it to anyone else. Anyone know if there is a dressing or something I can put on this.
