Texas

I guess we are pretty lucky in the Alba/Emory area because we got a nice rain Saturday night with a little rain off and on today.

We've (Tyler area) been getting a slow steady rain off and on for the past two weeks. So far if there's any chance, we're getting it. I know I shouldn't complain because the lakes and ponds are still low around here. The problem I'm having right now is that my ground hasn't had a chance to dry out so I can't lay concrete foundations for my coop or shed. Nor can I til my garden so I'm feeling kinda useless right now.

Brown Leghorns

Single Comb Brown Leghorns, which lay white eggs, are the second best known variety of Leghorns. They originated in Italy, and are the most colorful of all breeds. Males have black tails, orange-red heads, lustrous deep orange back, and saddle feathers. The female's head is lustrous deep orange, and the front of the neck and breast are a rich salmon color. The remainder of the body is a combination of black and brown shades.

Special Price:
Straight Run: $1.25 each
Pullets: $1.75 each

Just saw this on the Okie thread

Rained most of the day but not too bad. If it clears off it will soak in by tomorrow afternoon. Charley the horse is looking forward to being out of the stall again and slinging mud clots. TSC in Tomball started Chick Days today and Spring Creek Feed has a schedule of the breeds they will have in week by week posted. Not sure where the supply is from.

Sarge, Soory to hear that your girls decided to do Beauty School. Her hair will grow back quickly . I wore my hair in a long braid most of my childhood just to make it easier to manage the length and tangles.
