I had planned on putting chicken wire 4 feet up on all sides but that was to keep small chicks in. Hardware cloth is so expensive, it may be a little while. Maybe a 2 foot piece of tin around the bottom. I started this because I had free pipe to build it with.... Welded wire $43.00, tarp $23.00, welding wire for the welder $24.00, hindge and latch $5.00

Yep free stuff is the best. I worry more about it being functional that pretty. Tell those chickies of yours to get with it and I will send you some $

i found a stack of pallets the other day.. thought i was lucky.. until I asked the guy what he was going to do with them. He said that he always returns them to the company that they came from. *sighs*

I was hoping.. oh well... just gotta keep my eyes open for more...

i found a stack of pallets the other day.. thought i was lucky.. until I asked the guy what he was going to do with them. He said that he always returns them to the company that they came from. *sighs*

I was hoping.. oh well... just gotta keep my eyes open for more...

Yea we saw a sign the other day for free wood. Saw a bunch of pallets to the side so went to check. It was a dumpster full of scraps not over 4" long... Nothing I could use

i got all my pallets from a couple of schools i was guarding while they were being built... i had to ask the foreman if i could take the empty pallets cuz his 2d in command would go out in the mornin before i would get off and pick up all of the empties! he was so bad that when i got 10 of the GOOD ones he had all of the workers stack them up and put the forklift on top to keep em safe! then there was a bunch dumpped off at my school!
there are a bunch of pallet places that sell them around here that sell them for 6 bux a pop!
Quality feed has them for .99 cents! thats HIGHWAY ROBERY!!!! ima go get some now! lol nah not rlly!

You have really bad timing!

My husband told me he has ordered at least 74 eggs for me for my birthday next week.. so my bators are gonna be sooo stuffed with the eggs i already have cooking. I've been wanting some of your Silkied Ameraucanas for a while now.
