Hey all!

Good news; DH and I just rented a house on 1 acre in Conroe!

I have never had chickens, but am excited to get some once we are settled. Any people in Conroe out there? Where do you get your chicks?

There are quite a few people out that way, if I recall correctly.

Hey there! I live 15 minutes from conroe!...my folks live there as well. the TSC in conroe hasnt had any chicks in a while and when they do, it typically assorted bantams and production style birds (prod reds, california whites, and cornish crosses). i got my chicks from Quality feed in houston, as i work nearby...yeah im a 'mega-commuter' as coined by the radio station! feel free to PM with any specific questions and would be happy to help you out any way that i can. Where abouts in conroe? my DW is the bartender at the saltgrass in town...i tend to hit a happy hour from time to time

My addiction has spread to my family. My sister has it (and helps feed it since she can't have them at her apt, though right now she has some chicks at her place until they are big enough to put in with my other chicks), my husband has it, and I think I have almost converted my mother in law.

Luckily there are plenty of enablers on here so we outnumber her quite a bit!!! Lol! When my in laws come to visit I think my father in law feeds the girls 5 or 6 times a day!!! He can't wait till he retires and moves by us so he can have chickens.
