I had some orps and they never went broody on me =/ then again, perhaps I just never left the eggs in there long enough

They were sweet girls, they were about two or three years old when my parents gave them away when i went to college. One of my hens was slightly standofish the other two were really friendly and would run up for cuddles, hop in my lap, and go to sleep.

well thats awesome! will definately keep that in mind...speaking os sweet chickens...i got 3 in my brooder that will actually let me pet them. 2 of my BA's and 1 BR will run up to my hand any time it goes in there. the other 6 still look at me funny...but there are a couple that are on the verge! pretty exciting, i had chickens growing up...but never to the point of them knowing and actually liking me(my grandparents would make me chase chickens because they said i had too much energy growing up

) so needless to say...those chickens were always a bit on the shy side,

I just ordered my babies! It is official now!!!!! They will be delivered sunday may 12 - wednesday may 15th!!! I cannot wait! Anyone else have babies on the way? I have a buff brahma straight run, turken pullet, dominique pullet, black star pullet, black minorca pullet, egyptian fayoumis pullet, brown leghorn pullet, white leghorn pullet, rhode island red pullet, two easter egger pullets, salmon faverolle pullet, buff orpington pullet, and a freee chick! I also ordered a silver laced wyandotte and a golden laced wyandotte for my vet who lost her slw chick recently. Going to raise them to outside age for her to introduce to her other lil girls who are about six weeks right now. I am soooooo excited!
