Love this pic! she was not thrilled by the camera flash, lol!

Check out the coloring on this little red polish! cant wait for this guy to feather out!

I get that same look from mine when the camera flashes on them.

Granted the only time I can get some good pictures is when they are roosting. They are cute. What kind of chickens are they?
Nope, not rumpless! **grins** Imagine them with absolutely no long tail feathers, just the short ones that go around their heiny ...it looks weird.

Very pretty girls, too. That particular colouration is pretty common in EEs. I think it's gorgeous.

Yeah - I've gotten to where I take video and then save a particular frame I like.

I think I may start taking videos as well. That is a good idea.

Spent the whole day working on the coup, and it should be ready for move in for next weekend! It will serve as an outsde brooder for another week or two before they get steady acces to the run...mainly because i still have to cover it.

I have 9 chicks that are 4.5 weeks old, these guys are movin out asap, i then have 6 chicks that are 2 weeks behind them. Will there be a major integration issue? I was planning on letting them brood together in the coup in anither week or 2 once the younger ones feather out a bit more before i start openeing the run for them.

Will i be able to just put them together since they are pretty close together in age, or will i still have to segregate them?

The top pic is one of my black australorp. Im getting pretty unanimous input that she is a she an she is 4.5 weeks old in that pic.
The bottom pic is a red polish chick. The feed store guy did a quick feather sexing and said he was gonna be a cockeral, but you know how that goes! Still a 50:50 shot in my opinion, lol.

The big guys got a good 2 hours outside time this evening, they loved it!

Someone was being friendly while i was doing work outside today. Meet Corona da-Beer, our rescue horse.
Yes, Horses reserve the right to be the official construction inspection department. We were enjoying the awesome weather planting three flats of perennials that I picked up and Charley (my horse) was keeping a keen watch.
