Texas

Boy, I leave you guys overnight and there are over 75 posts to read in the morning! I have to add an evening peek-in to keep up.
Oh yeah, we start early and end late! first and last thing i do with my day is check BYC...not to mention every few minute there in between!

We have an Atwoods in Greenville with straw and great prices, and the TSC in Wylie, where we used to live has it, too. I don't know if those towns are accessible for you.
Good to know, thanks! We're in Kaufman County sorta between Terrell and Kaufman so those places are definitely accessible.

What a clever solution!
It got down to 23* last night - which is pretty chilly for this time of year. Hubby went out to the mini greenhouse shelf this morning. He said the Christmas lights were on and it was warm and steamy inside the plastic when he opened it up to check the seedlings. Said everything looked OK so far inside and nothing was frozen.

I'm sure anyone who drove down the road and saw Christmas lights the past few nights thought we were weird, but hey, if it keeps my seedlings from freezing, I don't care. :)

I'll be back up to well

I'm adding 94 in May... not counting what I already have plus the chicks in the brooder and eggs in the bators... those are just chickens

not counting the other poultry and the meaties when i order them

Let's see...I'm currently at:

12 outside
17+3+4+6=30 in the brooder
16 in the incubator
24 red hatching eggs +whatever SGD eggs he appends - pending from Dick Horstman (Yinepu gets half of the reds that hatch out, though) to arrive some time in the nex couple of weeks
24 reds and 12 SGD hatching eggs from Jeanne (she got payment today

) to arrive ~May
15 bantams to arrive ~May

That means by the end of June/early July I will be (if I have 100% hatches, which is unlikely, but still) the proud mama of roughly 121 birds....Mike's gonna die if he ever does the math.

Especially if he starts thinking about the fact that I'm planning on breeding them.
