Didn't mean to complain about our little house but we just want something that didn't come in on wheels 20 years ago. We have fixed the old girl quite a bit actually! Just want a slab so I don't keep having scorpions, am just so scared of the day my little girl gets stung. And I do spray about once a month to keep them gone but we still get them time to time, even though I have noticed less of them as time goes on with chickens!!!

No worries. I hear ya. There are days I could just scream because I've got a hole in the wall and cold air or creepy crawlies are getting inside. Had a snake get in the house through a hole in the floor a few months ago. It can get old. Then I remind myself that there are things I wouldn't want to give up if we lived somewhere else.

i know the feeling! i got off early yesterday and was like "what a great day to run by the feed store and just see whats in stock" then had to decide against it cause i know they would have something i needed and would depress myself more by not being able to get it! lol!

but this weekend, found another feed store thats closer that supposedly has chicks stocked year round from ideal that is pretty close to me, so i will definatly be checking that out with a $20 in my pocket!

Where is this feed store!? I wish there was a feed store near me that had chicks year round!

great news guys!! my boss just gave me permission to take 2 huge plywood server shipment crates!

breeding pens here i come!! these two crates are easily 6' by 4' and pretty sturdy! slap a run and a pop door on those and im good to go! i will attempt to sneak into the warehouse later and snap a pic for any ideas that you all may have!!

That is awesome! Man I wish I worked at a place that had those! All you have to do is put a sturdy roof on it, paint it, put up some roosts and nesting boxes, cut out a door or two, and put in a few windows for ventilation! That is sweet!

That reminds me, you guys saw the pics of my coop correct? How many chickens do you think could comfortably fit inside? Just curious. I am also planning to make an auning soon for them so that when their is rain or when it is far too hot they have a nice sheltered place to go to get out of the sun and rain yet still play outside.

I had 4 cows stolen from me. Texas rangers are involved. 3 are accounted for but the 4th is missing. Looking for a 4 year old Angus cow. No real distinguishing marks, but had a black tag in her left ear with number 11 in it. Last known whereabouts was Bleirberville, but we believe she maybe in Lexington, or Brenhum. These are show cows, and were leased to someone to show. If anyone has over heard anything or has any ideas etc please message me. The Angus cow is supposively at a vet in Brenhm.

Boy that's not good I'm glad y'all have at least some of them back but from what I understand the rangers are good at getting cattle back!

Ok....I should not laugh. I know I shouldn't....but, really.....how often are you reading along on a forum and come across a notice about cattle rustlin? It's modern era meets old west.

I'm sorry about your loss and really hope they find the missing cow. Where we live I doubt we'll see it; but, I do wish you luck.

i just dont understand people! what pride can anyone actually have in taking something thats not theirs! from cattle to vehicles to shoes....

....i cant stand people that cant do it themselves so they have to take what others put so much time and effort into! some one should take their truck/trailer just cause....bet they wouldnt be so careless if they were on the receiving end!
