I think i got that same roo in these fuys...lacing is non existant so far...more like a random white feather here and there. But they are small...was starting to worry cause thats not what inwas wanting outta them, but feel better now. Shall wait and see!

Sounds about right. Dickory and Dock hardly have any white on them except for the pencil lacing in their hackles and small splashes here and there. Hickory, on the other hand....well, you've seen her...

dang.. did both of you get them from Ideal?

when I got mine from cackle they grew out heavier and as fast (if not faster) then the orpingtons I got in the same batch
when I ended up butchering some of the excess birds the wyandottes dressed out heavier too

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's where his are from. Mine I picked up at GFS - they are supplied by Ideal.

Any tips on teaching pullets NOT to roost in their nesting boxes? Only the two new ones do it. One is 21 weeks.

do you have enough roosts?.. if so go out after they have gone to roost.. then move them from the nest boxes to the roost

you'll probably have to do it several times until they get the idea.. but they should have it figured out in less than a week

And making sure the roosts are far enough from the wall. One of the coops Mike first made had the roost too close to the wall, so the girls would crowd on the floor instead of the roost.

This is one of my Wyandotte cockerels and some pullets.
