Super tempting! Anyone gonna bite on this?
I twitched to do it....but, I behaved myself.

My 36-ish eggs from Dick are coming in next week (if all goes well). Then I have another 36 inbound from Jeanne out of Montana following not too long after that. If these Nankin hatch out, I'm going to have 12 bantams there....and, I think there are some still supposed to be inbound sometime this month; but, I'm not positive about how that's playing out...

My 44 year old step-son is in the dining room standing over the hatcher cheering on the chick that is currently working on zipping.....there's something so cute about a grown man reduced to childlike tendencies simply because a chick is hatching.

Hey what is that stuff you buy for sick chicks? Thought it was "Chick Alive" but can seem to find that. I have a shipped chick that is lethargic, not eating, it drinks a little but does not move much. Gave it raw egg, it took about 2 bites but then seemed worn out.

That is it!!!! Okay Amazon does not have it for overnight. If it is still alive tomorrow, will head to TSC after work. Does it last a long time? In case I don't need it by the time I get home

. Already prepared the kids, my DD (6) said "mom, I know how we can remember her, take a picture of us with her", so sweet and simple. She also said we need to pray for her.

Try some Poultry Nutri-Drench. They have it at TSC. You put it in their water.

Here are some pictures of our 4ish/5ish week old sex link girls. They are Black Star and Red Star. This black star is the only one that has the brownish/red chest. The rest are mostly black with some tiny bits of white on their chest. It makes me wonder if she's really a Black Star because she's so different. One of the Red Stars is below her. I will have to put the runt next to one of the regular sized ones so you guys can see the difference. It's not 'as big' of a difference now, but there is still definitely a difference in size. For being a first time chicken own I am just happy that all 15 are doing so well. The Black Star shown here is the most flighty from humans out of all the birds. The Red Stars will come right up to you, but this particular black star just does not want to have anything to do with human beings.
