Maybe what I should have said is "Where were you when when the world stopped turning that September day"?

I was going to work like I did every day. My boss told me "a plane hit the towers", my thought was an other accident. They quickly turned to "Really what is going on?", I drove to pick up my wedding ring, because I was going to get married, that is when I heard about the flight from PA. Then the reality of it hit me.

DH said no one wants to thing about depressing things, that is why there is nothing on TV. That mad me sad. Real people died...Give your loved ones a hug and let them know how much you love them. You never know when they will be ripped from your life.

Okay am I the only one that is 100% disgusted by the fact that NO Channel is paying tribute tonight?  My son is finally of the age that I wanted him to fully understand what happened and nothing... I am still using my words to let him know why today is important.  Pearl Harbor, and I am not discounting that at all, gets more coverage. Almost 3,000 people died on this day, people like you and me, just going to work to do the job that they do.  Some were on a plane going home to see loved ones.  That could have been any of us.

Sorry guys, today is just a bad day for me.

Fox News had a lot of coverage during the day today.............

Here are my pics for the day. Gave Mazzy the first chicken bath I have ever given. It went easier than I thought it would. She is almost 4 mo. and is always keeps herself really clean. Her big 'ol hat was getting kinda dark and today was picture day. I had to put her upside down to get her crown cleaned. It looked like a lady getting her hair washed at the hair salon! As I was doing this I realized that I have for sure lost my marbles. Never thought I would be giving a chicken the spa treatment. She is my special girl. She has not been in the garden with me for a few weeks now. Even after being treated to a bath she was her happy self and sang the sweetest songs to me the whole time during her photo shoot in the garden. Such a luv bug:love
Nice pictures :)

I thought all the news channels covered it. Al Jazeera had a lot on 9/ll.

When it happened, I was walking my racehorses at the track. A radio was playing the news as it unfolded, but I couldn't stop to listen with a hot horse needing to be cooled out. I caught pieces of the news as I walked around the barn--30 seconds of radio report and another minute out of earshot. That very night I was booked on a flight to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Needless to say I didn't go. It took me about three weeks to be able to get a flight to Europe and a connecting flight to Riyadh. It was a nightmare. When I finally flew out, all kinds of new regulations were in place regarding carry on luggage, but the right hand didn't know what the left was doing. One check-in attendant told a passenger that the butane curling iron had to go in checked luggage. The check in agent beside her told another passenger the butane curling iron had to go in carry on. The conversations happened at the same time and I heard them both. It was chaos. There was an incredible sadness among the people in Saudi Arabia when I finally got home. Thankfully, I didn't have a TV in my cottage and I didn't see the horror played over and over again on TV.

This video is for all those who have punks using their quite neighborhood street as a race track.

We have thunder! Sure hope there's some rain to follow.

Wouldn't you know that after that wildfire talk a couple days ago, we had one in my community? Little old lady decided to burn a tree stump. The stupid stump had been there for 2 yrs and she finally decided that she was tired of looking at it - to heck with the burn ban. Burned 2 miles and 3 houses before they put it out. Thankfully it was on the other side of a road from our place and they we're able to keep it from jumping.
Thank goodness you are okay! I feel sorry for those who lost their homes.

Have you ever seen a jumping spider up close and personal?
You take fantastic pictures!! That was a really pretty one!

Twelve years ago my brother-in-law, a Marine was at the Pentagon when it was hit by the plane. His group had moved out of those offices just the week before for renovations. If they had been in there.....they would have most likely been killed. It was a very tense day for our family and especially for my sister and her husband.

You can still pay tribute to the people by telling him the story and if old enough show him the photos from that day. If you are religious, teach him to pray for the lost and to pray even harder for the terrorist.
Well said!! It will never be forgotten in this household. On my office wall I have a full page newspaper picture of the twin towers (dated 9/12/2011)

Lisa :)
