Texas

If you can come to the show in College Station next month, there will be breeders from all over Texas there.  You can talk to them about purchasing chicks or culls from their stock.  There will also be birds for sale.

Where and when is the show in College Station? I'd love to try to go. Thanks.

I got my chickens in all different stores. My 1st 4 BO pullet came from Callahan ' s on 183 in Austin. They have been wonderful. I got two chicks chicks for Omellet to brood at Tractor Supply. Then got two for Scrambled to raise. And the last three came from Winkley's Country Store in Liberty Hill. They are really pretty. Except on little one died. MY FAULT.

Austin. Big fingers. I almost left the house with an egg in my coat pocket. That could have been messy.
Hung. I have actually had to use half of an egg when I halved a recipe. I just beat it and then measured it and used only half in the recipe.
@hens: You could have saved the other half to hatch later. This may be how they produce Bantam from regular Poultry.

Do you know where Texas Ave & George Bush Dr. is at?

Go down George Bush Drive towards A&M, you will go through I think 4 lights along the school, and then when you go over the railroad tracks at McDonalds you will see the Horse Breeding Barn on the left, the very next drive way there is a smaller brick building, turn in there.

no I don't have any plans to show . not really set up to condition a show bird. I do have breeding pens set up and starting to hatch eggs. I really like theses heritage reds .
There were a bunch of RIR there last year, I think they have their annual meet then or something. A RIR pullet won Best American last year and was on Champion Row.

Everyone is invited to come out! It is free to come watch and look around. There is something to enter for everyone as long as you have your birds tested for P/T.

There is an egg show!

There is a Backyard Show "Most Unique" "Judges Choice" "Peoples Choice"

There is a silent auction!

It only cost $3 to enter your bird!
