Good cold morning! I could see my breath this morning checking on the hens. Of course I have outside duty this morning, so I'll be bundled up waving to parents as they drop off their treasures. Luckily I do not have recess duty this week. Not sure which is word, being cold outside or indoor recess.

It's already Wednesday!

I hope to see some of you Saturday or Sunday at the Ft Worth stockshow, what should be our symbol?

Good morning All,

I was so busy lately with several tasks at work. And more important .. with the immigration file I put together for my new wife ... I sent them out yesterday and should be about 7 mos, they will interview her for Visa; keep my finger cross.

I met Melissa yesterday and got 4 Polish babies from her. This is a gift for a friend of mine to start her poultry career. These are gorgeous, 1 blue, 2 white and 1 colorful one (don't know how to call)

Lisa, Teri ..watch your mail, lots of money is coming to you.

Good chilly morning!

I need to get some paint on the raw wood on my garage this afternoon. When paint goes on sale I can buy the paint to do the whole garage.
Hung - I could use lots of money too. This old house of mine is expensive!!!

I am not looking forward to tonight and tomorrow. Monday doesn't look so good either. :/ I am so ready for spring!

My Fat Bottomed Girls have been outside on the ground and found grass. I'm not sure they've ever been on real ground. Here's pictures I took yesterday afternoon. They aren't good pictures with shadows and late afternoon sun, but they are all I have. The breeder is sending me two more, a blue pullet and a blue cockerel to start my bantam Cochin breeding program.

Yes, that is a foot on the right. I don't know how they can walk with such long foot feathers!



I love the coquettish look this mottled girl gives. And, I love the arch to her neck.

those are so pretty i just lost my mottled to a coon...then found him eating my birds living under the pen...in the rafters under the floor boards of the coop. i have several " apartments" in this pen. he ran under the floor boards and hid we never knew he was there but that something was coming in eating our birds or snatchng them and leaving...but no he stayed and ATE. im so mad i could spit...cochins,silkied ameraucanas,wheaten ams...all had deaths and losses we just lost a wheaten last night. sigh...glad i just swapped for some wheaten ams!
