I recognize that name......oh yeah, he is the one that just got married.

Weather right now is 60 degrees. Suppose to drop in the 30's by 5 and then we will have freezing rain/sleet. I will believe it when it happens. I feel sorry for those who have never driven in that stuff.

Stay safe everyone!

Well, it may be colder, but the hens like that it is sunny earlier each day. They beat me out of their coop this morning, a first. ( we don't close up the door, as the coop and run are together with a door around the run.) both were waiting for their morning surprise. Today it was scrambled eggs. I love the way they begin "talking" the moment they hear the back door open.

Me too! Mine know I put the treats out in the a.m. and so a few days ago I started hearing them at the back door (which is right under my bedroom window) around 6. So everyday they are up and out before I get down there and they rush me as I make my way out to the back fence with their bowl of treats. They are so funny. Wish I knew what they were saying.

OMG, I never thought of that. I grew up in Canada--I know what to do when you hit black ice. A four-wheel skid is nothing to panic about, but I've had a lot of practice. When I first learned to drive, my dad took me to an unplowed parking lot and we just practiced skidding and spinning the car. If a Canadian kid were to do that now, he would be charged with Stunt Driving which is almost as bad as DUI. I'm going to make sure my DH comes home early and stays home tomorrow!

This cold weather is going to postpone our trip until Saturday morning, I think.

I really wish we could get there sooner so we wouldn't have to worry about the ice. I just want to get out of here and relax for awhile but waiting until Saturday means we'll only have about a day to spend there and the rest of the time, we'll be driving. Ugh....stupid weather.

What are those??
Quail Belgian D'Anvers I would buy the pair if I could, but being in the city no roo's =( If they were chicks I could do it cause I would have time to rehome the rooster. I called them and they said they would not be selling eggs or chicks either. Makes me a little sad, but I guess they are just trying to sell the extras they have... I found someone on here who has an assortment I could buy but I have to get 15-20 chicks and that isn't really something I can do right now =(

Haha, that was how I learned! Dad took us kids down to a large parking lot so we could make 'doughnuts' and learn how to pull out of a skid. I thought that was something all kids learned!

Don't take your husband's fun away. My DH is looking forward to playing a little.

I would just either crash or spin around in circles!
