Texas

Morning fellow Texans!

Cold, wet and dreary in my part of the world. Had to make a quick trip to town to get some linoleum for my poop board. This cold/wet stuff makes my joints ache. Off to work on my coop. Have a great day everyone!

Does the linoleum make it easier to scrape? My husband is making poop boards now for our new coop. Thank you.

You need to be logged onto a google account to be able to add yourself to the map. Once you are logged on to your Google account and you are at the map, click on the red EDIT button and you can add your location and something about yourself if you want to. Be careful, it is easy to move other people around by mistake. Good luck.

Ok, thank you. I will try it soon

I ferment & don't have a problem except the smell is worse because of the fish meal

The Scratch and Peck also has fish meal and it smells, but it's not as smooshy as the H and H. Plus, it doesn't have corn, and I'm really not fond of the corn.

When I'm in a pinch, I will pick up the H and H from D and L.

I found Scratch and Peck the other day and thought it looked good. There weren't any dealers listed near me so I would have to order it. Bryant is supposed to have a good feed that is almost organic.

I need to find out what the chicks are eating and also figure out what I will be using. I am going the FF route too. Need to read up on that again.

I think you live near me. Azure Standard delivers it as part of their co-op. Check to see if there is a delivery near you. I know there is one in Allen.

I want to stay away from feed with corn in it. I think the S&P is corn free. Hadn't thought about smell from fish with the FF making it worse. hmmmmm......

I'll be starting out with the food the breeder is using.

Yes, the S and P is corn free. I've never used the feed the breeder is using with day olds, or even couple of week olds and they have gone directly to my fermented feed just fine. I ferment with a pickl-it, so it doesn't smell a ton, but when I open it, wahoo. I have two jars going at all times, so that one is fermenting while I feed out of the other.
