Let me know when you get a broody hen.  We will fix you up with some Cream Legbar hatching eggs. We are just 35 minutes from you.

By the way, did anyone go to the Granger Poultry Show two weeks ago?  I am trying to figure out who it was at that show that everyone is reporting brought the Blue-Blue Cream Legbar eggs.  I talked to two different people that commented how blue they were.  I want to learn more. :)

I was hoping for 1 to 3 day old chicks. My BO make great Mommies.

my turkeys have gotten so big this past week
700

Turns out Matilda is a Roo...

Anyone else have a Rooster with a feminine name? LOL

Yes we had one named Moly after my 2nd daughter beause she thought he was so cute!
Turned out okay though since in 2002 her sister cut her hair way to short and the kids at school called her Mike, In 2010 we made light of it and now his name is Mikeie

Did you call the show secretary of that show? I think I have his email address somewhere.

I started looking at the big wheelbarrows with over-sized rubber wheels and such. I have a lot of rocks to move. Then I looked at shovels and rakes and blah...it looked like too much work so I bought this: Best wheelbarrow/rake combo I've ever owned. :D
We got a tractor when we were working on the horse barn and arena and it even got a name "Taffy". It is aTafe mfg and that seemed to fit and she has done some work!

I have always wondered who came up with eggsalad. I think I have figured it out. I was trying to make deviled eggs. I could not get the shells off in any decent manner. Tomorrow I will be making eggsalad.

I do not remember where I read it and I haven't tried it yet but I read that if you add baking soda to the water when boiling eggs the shells peel right off.
worth a try
my children were here this weekend and robbed me of all my eggs.

Maybe I will try it tomorrow.
