BYC had been so helpful and now that I have got the chicken thing figured out I need a Backyard cows website I KNOW NOTHING about cows or horses!!!

Www.backyardherds.com I believe is the website. It's been awhile since I was on it. It wasn't as informative as backyard chickens but it still has a lot of good information!

I have no idea what kind of bantams you have, but they are BLUE!!! Love blue chickens!

Nice steers! Really love the chocolate one. He has such a straight back!



It has rained here all day. Thunder started around 5am this morning, and still going on. Let my chickies out this morning and dug them some fresh weeds/grass between showers. So glad I mowed the yard yesterday. Otherwise it would be knee deep by this weekend. Have you mowed yet Clovis?

I picked up some more cinder blocks yesterday at Lowes. I got a few put down yesterday afternoon, will work some more on the garden this week.

Checked my fire ant bed yesterday. They are still there. Seems my 3 pots of water had no effect except killing the surrounding grass. Picked up some amdro at Lowes. Going to use it once the rain stops this week. Unless I find where to purchase the Texas Two Step stuff. I like the sound of that, being organic and all.

Got a pot of chili cooking. Hope everyone enjoys this day of rain (if your getting it). I'm just glad it's not the severe stuff like last time.
