Back then I didn't see them as cute or cuddly, I saw them as meat and fur, as I made money off of both. Have you seen the price of groceries lately, and it's just going to get worse. Like I said, just trying to feed my family. I will tell you this, everytime I harvested one, I would thank him and God for the sacrifice and made sure it was quick and painless as possible.

True, and I probably could do it now. But my kids have been asking for pet bunnies for years now and if i get some they won't allow me to butcher and cook them. I do miss rabbit, so yummy

lol, you mean as soon as I finish the 2nd coop I am going to go looking for more babies? your probably right. I really want ameracaunas or EE's or better yet both! I also wouldn't mind some more BR hens, they are so friendly and curious.

We have 3 EE pullets. We aren't ready to breed our flock yet, or else I'd have some EE chicks for you asap.

Well, when I get up and running, I will send you some of the meat. Just don't tell the kiddos it's rabbit. You could pass it off as chicken, oops wrong word, uhhhhh fish, uhhhh, pork, uhhh, oh hell, funny beef!!! LOL

Their website as far as available chicks is down right now but if you know the breeds you want you can call them. Just do a search on the web with "Ideal Hatchery" and you will be good to go!!
