Ok...here's a newbie question....Do bantam roos make a diffferent sound than the regular cock-a doodle-do? What about other breeds of big chickens? My sebright got up on a tree limb today and made the most horrible squawk/screech I've ever heard...never heard this from it and have had it since November. It has never acted like a hen, never seen an egg to my knowledge and my roo mounts the bird??? But this sebright shows no interest in my sebright hen or any other for that matter?

Thanks, with the zoo we have we have had to really reach for some names. Kagura, and Kairi are from Japanese anime. We also have a pup named Phantom of the Opera for his nonstop howling and face mask. We have cats named Midnight, Patches, Kiki, and Shadowcat. Shadowcat is a black cat who is a freaking Ninja. We have dogs named Rascal (from Little Rascals cause he reminded me of Alfalfa), Dawn (because he blue eyes and light copper fur reminded us of the sky at dawn), Cheyenne (she looks like a wold but is a pure bred Siberian), Fiona (who doesn't know shrek? Lol), and Sasha (she came with the name). Some members of our flock are also named, we have Ebony, Ivory, and Daisy duck. The geese are Snow, Jas (not sure if Jasper or Jasmine at this point, lol), Peaches, Cream, Jazabell, Maybel, Gertrude, still have to name the last 1. For chickens only the rooster is named and he is Screwball, because that is exactly what he is. Lol.

lols yeah we got some funny names for our animals too

Ok...glad to know that...don't know what is up with this silly bird....maybe was just happy to be "on top of the world"!!
It has almost no comb but is red where Becka's is black and it;s tail is gold where Becka's is also black but that's probably just feather color difference. Don't know enough about them I guess.

Quote: I have some buff Orps that are about 11 weeks old at the moment.
Forgot to say my Orps are not show birds. Got them from a hatchery, so they are not of the same quality of your. But I am in San Antonio if your interested.
Thanks for the interest but I really need either Blue or Splash orpingtons

It's kinda ironic. The one egg Becka layed was hatched by my Catalana...that would be Speedy. It's white but has feathers on the legs like the sebright and my big roo Abraham was the dad so Speedy is starting to show a little light gold and a few black spots. The egg was bantam size so he'll be small.

Wish I was closer! I love Orpingtons..I wouldn't have anything to trade though, except $

lol

Crap did not see that you asked to buy the black Orps first. Sorry Brook, you get first dibs if she decides to sell.
