Texas

That's what I was looking at. Well not on BYC but the place in local: Farmersville, about 30 min east of me.
I could probably find some hatching eggs on here at least...ok I feel a little better

I wish mine did that! But either mine know the trick for what it is and are too smart to go into the coop, or I haven't found their weakness yet. I have given watermelon, grapes, strawberries, lettuce, kale, parsley, squash, cucumber, broccoli, coli flower, and tomatoes. Most fresh from my gardens and while they enjoy the treats, they refuse to get cooped for them. Only when it's evening time will some finally go in, not before. So letting them out is either an all or nothing deal. Unless I feel like chasing and cornering them in my yard, which is exhausting. Dang birds, too smart and stubborn for their own good!

Not trying to tell you what to do, but try this. Whenever you give them treats, give them to them in the same place each time. I may be wrong about this, but it works with my birds. At the same time (approx.) each evening, right before putting them up, I sit on my front porch, and have a raisin fest. They got to wherever they are in the yard, they see me out there and come runnin'. Afterwards, they hang out by the coops and forage a little more. Yes, I have to catch a few, but most of them go up, because they know they are caught. They tell me everytime, they are not happy about it, but they seem to accept it.

Yes they do!! You should see it when my wife leaves for work. They look like 2 legged dogs chasing the car!! They only go so far!!
Wow, that actually chase the car...that has to be hilarious. When our birds were free ranging or escaping....they would come from all directions out of the woods that's when they learned about plastic bags haveing treats in them. We'd shake the bag to call them in.

I will give that a try. Anything to get them up safe and sound in an emergency like yesterday's storm. Maybe then I can let them out for half days if they were willing to get put up Before the storm hits.

Nine total hatched. One died trying to hatch, and the last one was probably my fault cause I cracked the egg moving momma around to get the old eggshells out. That one died in shell too. Dx But, nine outta 15 is not bad! 4 were not fertilized, and then lost two. Will see how things go in the morning.

On another note my grandfather is in the hospital. I went to visit him today.... he doesn't look so well. He has a UTI and a blood infection... Don't know when he will be able to go home.

You ought to see my girls when I am mowing the yard. They follow the mower, because they know there are bugs to be had, and I won't run them over!! LOL

Next time I will try to get video and post it here!!
