I'm sorry for your losses :(  We got the entire inside with bleach too

I've heard good things about...Chubby Mealworms I think? Maybe look at reviews on them? :)
I can't stomach them...I don't know why. No problem with spiders.

^Yep
It was really tough, he got so skinny...I'm just happy he pulled through, but from what I've seen and read, we got EXTREMELY lucky to have him pull through. The night before we took him in to the vet, I wasn't sure if he'd make it through the night. I was afraid to check on him a few times...definitely not fun.

@ShadowsFIAL
 I found the link!

you get used to them. I NEVER touch them! I use a sifter and a spoon.

Thanks much!

And sorry about your pup. I work at a clinic and I can't tell you how many parvo cases I have seen this year, shoot this month alone.

I can't complain too much, because he made it! :)
But thank you!

Anybody have any easter eggers for sale?
I gave my sister 4 at the begining of the year, and she lost 3 of them. The lone survivor lays brown eggs. I'd like to get her a few more for her birthday (early October), hens (laying blue/green) if you have any you're willing to part with!
Please PM/email if you have any available. I'm located in San Marcos, but travel to the Victoria area every few weeks.

I am new to BYC, my family and I have been researching and getting ready to start a few hens and were so excited until.... Just got off phone with city offices and they said no chickens in Lubbock city limits:( she said we live just outside the city limit (barely) and it may be permitted. Told to contact county offices. Feeling discouraged:(

What do you guys reccomend as treats for your birds? Mine so far have liked biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, beef lo mein, meal worms, bird seed, scratch of course, strawberries, watermelon. Any other sugestions?

Mine love grapes, watermelon, string cheese, spaghetti (with & without sauce), meal worms, cracked corn, seed/fruit mix (avian trail mix), apples, cucumbers, pumpkin, hashbrowns, scrambled egg, dried egg shell, tomatoes, bell peppers, bananas and cookies (but they don't get them very often).

I never would have thought of pumpkin! I will have to give them some this year when I make my homemade pumpkin pie!

Good luck! I hope you are outside the limits and that all is well! Would be wonderful it it is.

I will have Easter Eggers for sale in the next week or two. But they are only almost two months old right now. They are Ameraucana/Auracana mix and some are rumpless, three are Lavender (I'll sell two) and some black, some blue. They will be muffed and bearded unless they are showing their Auracana side in which case they will have clean faces or possibly tufts, but I don't see any yet. Blue/mint eggs. I am waiting to be sure who's pullets and who's boys first. I have a pretty good idea about a few of them though. Ameraucanas and Auracanas are both blue egg gene breeds. I let them free range with my adults when I can supervise. The adults have lost interest in chasing them much though. I found that so long as the range area doesn't have dead ends where they can be cornered they do fine together. I vaccinated them against Marek's, but for my own benefit. I would not pass the cost on. (If I should not post this in this thread, someone correct me and I'll remove it..thank you!)
