We have them in the same run as the ducks. The chickens refuse to stay out of the pond... this makes the 3rd one since the last of April.

Yes.. I told the other one that she is getting put on lock down... My 3 big white hens stay out of the pond, but these younger ones have been testing their limits, I guess... I think I'll move her in with the 3 week old ducks that dont have access to the pond... hopefully this will help..

So all the rain caused all nests to be soaked and full of water. Eggs were wet and cold

It has been raining since 4am here, nonstop... But I won't complain because I know come August, we'll be begging for it.

True I remember some warm days during deer season last years and the mosquitos were tearing me up. I can only imagine what it would be like with mild weather this year. I am going to have to bathe in skin so soft by Avon, it works better than Deet or Citronela.

How high did the water get? I keep all my nesting boxes well away from ground level.

Well... lost another chicken today... down to 4 chickens and hopefully 4 that should be hatching around the 29th...

What kind of incubator are you using? Are you using a humidifier?

I'm using the Farm Innovators incubator model 4250. This is my first time using it. I keep an eye on the humidity and check often to see if i need to add water.

How high did the water get?  I keep all my nesting boxes well away from ground level.

It didn't get in that way.
