Any one ever use the minnow catcher basket to catch snakes? The one with the holes on the ends and put eggs inside and just leave it ...does it work? I havent had a snake problem yet but my moms dog got bit by a rattle snake a few days ago. Dog is fine now. They live further out in the country than i do but you never know.

4 babies so far out of 8 eggs. One egg has an external pip, so I'm hoping hell hatch soon. I have one egg turning a dark color on the inside... did a smell test and didnt smell anything. Candled it and didn't see any movement, but I'll give it a couple more days. The other two remaining eggs, I went ahead and candled, and there is no movement at all...that I could see anyways... I'll give them a couple of days as well. As for the chicken eggs, i candled 3 of the 4. 2 have movement and the 3rd one I didn't see any movement, but ill give it the same amount as the others. I may candle the 4th one in rhe morning and see if I can see anything. I'm one excited momma lol.

I have not but there's a thread here on the forum if you haven't seen it that sure says it works. Glad your mom's dog is fine. We once had a heeler that would get bit just about monthly. My Corgi and one French Bulldog have been bitten.

As in like raw or a real chicken? My husband and bro in law set a trap using tuna fish and potted meat. I was thinking we needed something else. Thank you.

im sorry i was trying to be funny i guess. Meaning the real chickens since that seems to be what they are attracted to abd always seem to get. Im sorry. That was a really bad joke. I would think the tuna would work. It would be a strong enough smell to attract them or so it seems to ne.

I am not sure what I am looking at and won't ask. Now, I have been known, as gruff as I am when I am brooding fluffy baby chicks to cup them in my hands land hold them on my belly. Inevitably, they fall asleep.

No worries, lol. I can be a dunce and not catch some of the most obvious jokes.
