Kitty is adorable and looks mischievous!  What did you name the little guy/gal?

His name is Doby

There is no easy way to get rid of them and, if there is one there are more around. Shooting, trapping, catching with hook and line are just about the only ways. And, you don't have to have a pond or tank to have turtle problems. Just an adjacent farm or ranch with a tank, creek or pond and you will have turtles visit. We don't have ponds or tanks and we shoot a couple of turtles a month. We used to catch them and release them on the tank across the road from us but they just came back again and again.
We baited some hooks and set them out this evening

(sorry I don't really like cats)(even though I used to have a few of them) BUT boy is he CUTE!

My last cat did me in.....he use to attack me at night, now I'm kinda scared of kitty cats.

I understand. I had my fill with cats. Had one attack my head, had one who would pee, poop, and vomit anywhere and everywhere he'd like. So aggrevating
He really is a cutie!

Thank you :)

Anyone from South Texas? Rio Grande Valley?

how do you keep your chickens cool in the summer heat?
D.gif

Houston heat here.
I have been putting a cake pan with ice cube and treats (cut up grapes and other fruits/veggies) in their room. The ice melts and it kinda forces them to drink cold water to get the treats.
I am able to do this a few times each day.

I have been freezing milk jugs full of water and placing them in their room ( I call it a room because it is not a close up coop) so they can lean against it to cool off.
My babies are only 4 weeks old and they love it!
