Texas

For some

For some reason-duh old moment-i thought you were further south. Why didn't you warn me about this???
I had some plans before it got nasty-now in outside doing have-tos
Perhaps you are recalling that we have a place in Galveston, as well? It has been a chatting point over the last year or so.

I'm from the mountains. Born and raised in a place that snows in regularly. You'd think I'd be ready for this. But I'm so not. I almost miss my muggy balmy almost florida home 😬
Born "in the Mitten"....
Still have my "northerner blood" but, I ab-so-stinkin-lutely detest humid cold.

So I lived in a place in oregon called the high desert. It's what it sounds like, a desert on a mountain. So we would get like 4 feet of snow. One time temps didn't go positive for a whole week. I've lived on the oregon coast and now the georgia coast. I'd still rather cold that clings to your skin(wet cold) than I would the dry cold that blows right threw you. Makes my arthritis and bone hardware hurt sooo much more.

"High desert" ... Know it well, from experience OTR. I find our perspectives on the moisture level in a cold environment to fascinating... Your description is a mirror for mine of the opposite conditions.
