Wow! So how old are those antiques?
‘Bota is an L2250 with 26hp from 1985-1992

The comatose Cub Cadet (overheated)
is a 7260 with 26hp from 1998-2003
The work horse with no face (pictured above)
Is a 7300 with 30hp from 1998-2003

It’s face showed up and it’s mostly cleaned up & installed. Still needs a nip n tuck in places before I comfortable with the structural integrity of the grip and sub-frame.

Yeaaahhh, I’ll show a picture of it too if your curious. Of if you just wanna see what they typically look like goto tractordata.com to browse almost every make and model in history….

2 weekends ago I went on a wild goose chase… north east of me … out Just NW of Paris, Tx for a clone of the 7260. Snagged it & brought it home. It has the exact same engine and mounting brackets for almost everything as it’s the same actual block with new skin. The parent company is Mitsu’ and the clone I snagged is a mahindra …. Awe dang it… my dyslexic brain just fumbled….
It’s either:
a 1526 with 25hp from 2013-2018 OR
a 1626 with 25hp from 2018- current
Anywho this tractor I got was mysteriously not working & partially disassembled but, the engine was intact. Also came with the front end loader assembly & a quick attachment unit for skid steer attachments on the FEL (FrontEnd Loader)…. Bonus!

So, you went to Ladonia? Back in the day, when I was knee high to a grasshopper, that was the place for any and all tractor and other equipment parts that the major dealers couldn't get or didn't stock. A huge tractor junk yard.

How old is you ‘bota?
How low is the hydraulic fluid at this moment?
Perhaps waiting a day or two more to read this thread on fluids?

I don’t use cheap stuff for normal tractor usage. I have a bucket of “cheap stuff” to use when I’m testing 12V hydraulic pumps stuff and cylinders for seepage or if the seals are good… then I try to drain them as much as possible and remove the hoses and actually plug the threaded holes while the cylinder is stored.

Yeah. I’m over on that forum as well…. Granted I’m not in this specific thread yet… may not need to…

When I’m done with its utilitarian restoration then I shall share a pic or two of it “cleaned up” and likely a shot of it having mowed the back yard.
It is our RTV (2012 or 2014? maybe) and it had a leak in the line. My husband had the stuff to repair the line. We just needed to replace the fluid that leaked out. He won't use anything cheap. He sticks with Kubota.
Our oldest son is an independent heavy equipment mechanic. He usually takes over difficult tasks. My husband is a pretty good mechanic, but has a physical disability. I'm a horrible at anything mechanical. My brain freezes just thinking about it.

My son loves rehabilitating old machinery and vehicles.
I look forward to seeing your restoration.

Nope. Not that location! I have no awareness of such a hidden gem!

This is the area I wandered around in to a small shop with a couple dozen tractors in stages of repair and a couple dozen in stages of parting out…

This is basically what you can say I did…
These below are what *fun* I actually had!…

That pin drop is the “E ticket ride” of the year for me. That was where this totally saturated and muddy single lane “road(?)” drops down to cross a small riverbed… I’m doing all I can using ALL my experience and driving training off road and pulling trailers etc… to keep this 2WD only mode f350 crew cab & 32ft gooseneck flatbed from getting stuck….
I’m rolling along about 25-30 mph as I approach this crossing. I have 3-4 seconds to realize and brace for the fact I will be needing to maintain as straight a line as possible and cross the gully with 3 washout deeper than 12” like reverse railroad ties! Bam! Ka-bam-ka-bam went the front axle; then the rear axle… followed by the trailer bounced a bit less due to the dual axle setup. Oh, my. I dare not stop until I have firm ground … I hope it’s at the T-bone up ahead of me…

When I stopped. Realize the knob from the gear shifter was in my right hand, left hand had some scraps to the back side of it & not sure how that happened… at the stop sign I got out and looked at the underside of the truck and trailer. All safe and still sound.

Switched map app and refreshed to find I was 34 minutes north of destination…

Then I called them saying the map had led me astray. Turns out BOTH map apps placed my destination on FM 36400 actually on FM36450?!

Anywho… made it back to that guys shop. Got it loaded. Took a breather to regroup and then went home.

No other pictures as I was hyper focused on getting home safe and steady.

So @007Sean where is this tractor junkyard you speak of?

They had an old kubota at the dealership this morning that looked like your's. Not for sale, just to look at, I guess. I wish I'd have taken a photograph.
I went the other direction this morning, and went to the dealer in Palestine. It wasn't much further, and I like their service much better.

looked up Ladonia on the map..... i was North of US 82 Ladonia is slightly more South of US 82 than i went north. I did a search for salvage yards around there and found a neat albeit outdated list ....

search:
https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=Ladonia,+tx+tractor+salvage+yard&ia=web

outdated but neat list:
http://www.adeptr.com/Tx.htm
and its supposedly for all the states but, i have not gone to their home page to see yet... i have the tab still open but, have a specific todo list for today and this isn't on it for now...

(snickers at self) come to think of it, neither was this post.

Yeah, I looked too! I can not remember the name of the place but everyone just said, "Go to Landonia" for parts....albeit that was 50 years ago! I'll have to call my brother and ask him....he leaves up that way in Celeste...I think he went there recently to get some parts for his Farmall B.
